Step 1: Reflect
Before you can make sure your physical well being is ok you must check in mentally. Take time to reflect on your mental state to see what is going on in that head of yours. One thing that helps me tremendously is journaling. Journaling is a way to express everything and to see it clearly in the visual right in front of you. Sometimes we get carried away in emotions that we can't hardly function correctly. I discovered whether you journal in the morning, the night, when you're sad, when you're happy ... it doesn't matter, any time of day will help you to express yourself.
Step 2: Ground
You would think that I would get my spirit intact first right? However, I find if mentally I'm not in the right frame of mind to receive the divine and vibrate on a high frequency I won't be able to ground myself! So after I check my mental, I work on my spirit. I take time to sit alone to pray, meditate and talk to the divine. I ask for clarity, purity, and direction. Not only that I ask for forgiveness and the release of any burdens I am going through. When you feel light, you energy is clear enough. You're ready to transcend! You're ready to travel to different dimensions, you're ready to receive/give love, you're ready to see the world for what it truly is.
Step 3: Temple awarness
Now that everything else is tranquil, this gives me time to work on my temple. Your body is where everything lives. Sometimes our bodies can get crowded with toxic or unwanted energy. I take time to sage my body, drink water, take a bubble bath, to moisturize and hydrate my skin. I make sure that I feel soft and good. I even take this time to take any type of vitamins if I have them handy.
Step 4: Release
Sometimes as a empath or an emotionally spiritual being I forget to release the energies that I previously carried with me from others. I take time to consciously release what doesn't belong in me and around me. I continue to clear the things that aren't for me. Once you're mentally, spiritually, and physically conscious you're able to decipher what belongs and what doesn't.
Step 5: Receive
Now that you have released all that wasn't for you, your heart is open to receive what the universe has put out for you to receive. When taking care of your self you must be open to experiencing new things in order to experience you. That may come with new adventures, new people, or even new decisions.
A lot of times I share with you tips and different ways to indulge in self care, but this time I wanted to get deeper with you all so that you understand this really comes from "SELF."
Self care isn't just bubble baths, candles, and sleeping in, it's more than that! Get familiar with who you are, that' what this time is for. Get familiar with where you've came from and where you're going. Stop living a life of material and really check in on YOU! I really want you all to hear me, you're not checking in on your family, friends, significant others, but you're checking in on you!
This is why we do self care. Sometimes we forget to check in. We forget that we should be whole, vibrating, and constantly expanding. No matter who you are you should be able to take time to focus and choose you.
Make this statement to the universe as I ask the universe every day...

Our self Care is so important when it comes to our well being. In order to live a happy and positive life it's ok to focus on what we need to, in order to go on that journey. So many of you are still new to the idea of Self care, self love, and even holistic living. I am here to guide you along as I take the steps with you.
